Why "Babylon"?

The team perform what have become known as "Border Morris" dances. These have their roots in the Welsh border counties of Shropshire, Hereforshire and Worcestershire. Babylon are based pretty well on the Somerset Dorset border, and originally held practices alternately in each county. The team's membership is also split between the two. One of the team, Jenny, who was commuting across the border each day noticed that the main road across, the A30, was called Babylon Hill at the point where it actually crosses the county line. She thought Babylon would be a good name for the team and the rest of us agreed.
